History:

When second Battle of Islam (Battle of Uhud) ,which took place after the first battle (Battle of Badar) the false news spread throughout the area that in the battle Muslims were defeated in large numbers and the Messenger of Allah was martyred. After hearing this, one of the women that ran to the battlefield was Samra bint Qays (r. anha).

In the Battle of Uhud Hz. Samra’s family members (father, husband, brother and son) took part and they were martyred during the fighting.
However she was more wondering about the Messenger of Allah than her family. She asked about the Messenger of Allah repeatedly, “How is the Messenger of Allah? What he is doing?”
They said ,” Thank Allah, he is fine.” But she didn't believe them,


she wanted to see the Prophet. Samra ran towards the Prophet when she was informed where he was.


When she saw that the Messenger of Allah was alive, she said , patiently and with trust in Allah.
